Caring for China!

Just wanting to throw this out there! C4C is a great non-profit organization with selfless people working for them! Their staff donates of their own time and effort to bring democracy to China! Here’s a little about them from their website.

China is quickly and peacefully becoming a modern, capitalist democracy. Well, quickly in comparison to its five thousand year history, and in comparison to other nations in the past. Few nations, have made this transition peacefully.

China might.

To make this huge transition, though, China is going to need a lot of support from the rest of the world. Even more importantly the people of China need our support in this difficult period of Chinese history.

The Caring for China Center was founded to help the people of China to survive in this restless time and to seize this moment of opportunity.

Runnin’ just as fast as we can!

Wow, so we had wonderful church services this evening, despite the fact that we completely forgot to bring anything involving church! We recently picked up a room divider for a new mom to have some privacy at church while she nurses in the nursery. We had to take the truck to church today to get it to church. So we crammed all of our food down in about 30 mins, took a few minutes to catch our breath, grabbed 4 kids and stuffed them into the extended cab compact pickup truck we have, and hit the road. We got to church only to realize we had forgotten to bring the church computer, despite specific requests from the Pastor’s wife to bring it regularly on Wednesday evening, so nobody could see the overhead projected slides that went along with the Bible study we’re currently doing. What? Bible study? Oh yeah, that’s right, we forgot our Bible study books. What? Bible? Oh yeah, that’s right, we forgot our Bibles. We did remember coffee. Well, I guess sometimes we get soooooo busy, we forget to pay attention to the things we’re really supposed to be paying attention to. Everybody was gracious about our having forgotten everything, and it was a great night in general, marked by a new visitor, which is always good. We’ll be praying we can stay a little more focused next time we have to stuff the truck and hit to road to church! I’m simply thankful we didn’t forget any kids.

Blogging at Gunpoint

Ok, so I’m barely a believer in blogging, but this nut I go to church with is sold on it. The envy that creeps up every time I google his name and see it pop up as the number 1 result has finally brought me to my knees. So here’s my blog. I’m not sure what I’ll be talking about here yet, but I figure this is as good a start as any.
